The only family in the UK to have SIX generations of women alive at the same time put their incredible achievement down to good genes and hard work The incredible achievement was reached with the birth of youngest family member Meiche Hume, who is the great-great-great-granddaughter of 100-year-old Ruby Snowling. Earlier this year the Hanson family from Bradford, West Yorkshire, were reportedly believed to be the only one in Britain with six living generations.

Mulbarton village’s Parkrun marks its 200th event

But this Parkrun event was something special, as it was the 200th time the 5km fun run had taken place in the village of Mulbarton. Fireworks drama in King’s Lynn on Christmas Day

The drama unfolded at about 2.30pm when the ambulance were called to the park off Tennyson Avenue to deal with a man who had been badly burnt by “an explosion of fireworks”. The East Anglian Air Ambulance was called and the man was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge but later transferred to the critical burns unit at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford.
