More than 600 drivers spoken to in anniversary checks by police investigating Dean Stansby stabbing

Between 5pm and 8pm officers carrying out anniversary checks in the Ancaster Road area of Ipswich handed out appeal leaflets relating to the attack on Dean Stansby. Mr Stansby, aged 41 and of Trimley St Mary, died of a stab wound to the abdomen in Ipswich Hospital, where he had been taken after the incident on February 8. A month on from the stabbing, officers stopped and spoke to around 635 motorists who were travelling through the area and identified more than 35 people who may have relevant information to the investigation.
