In advance of their trip to Philadelphia to visit historic sites, Bronxville Elementary School fifth graders have been busy brushing up on American history. Educators Discuss The ‘Bronxville Promise’ At EdLeader National Conference

The "Bronxville Promise" was on full display recently, when a team of faculty members from the school district attended the national EdLeader21 Conference in Denver. Director of Technology Jennifer Forsberg and Director of Curriculum and Instruction Mara Koetke were among six Bronxville educators to present at the conference, which serves as a national network of school leaders focused on integrating 21st century skills such as critical thinking, creativity and collaboration in the classroom.

Bronxville Students Train Their Brains Through Mindfulness Activities

Since the academic year began last month, Bronxville Elementary School students have been busy training themselves mentally as part of a recently expanded program that utilizes mindfulness programs to improve achievement. Since classes reopened - funded through a grant from the Bronxville School Foundation - all 35 elementary classrooms are now perfecting mindful listening and basic relaxation techniques as part of the district's Yoga and Mindfulness program.
