Hundreds, if not thousands, of folks will be lacing up their running shoes this spring all over Westchester to help fight a deadly disease. The American Cancer Society says that 13 Relay for Life events have been scheduled for May 20 through June 19. The community led events will be held in: Eastchester, Mamaroneck, Chappaqua, Harrison, Katonah-Lewisboro, the Tarrytowns, Yorktown, Yonkers, Somers, Ossining and the Hendrick Hudson School District.
Members of the New Castle Town Board are considering whether to make one of the biggest alterations to the municipality in its 291-year history: changing its official name to the Town of Chappaqua.
