Man Stole Thousands From Macy’s, Yorktown Police Say

A 51-year-old man was busted by police in Yorktown last week after reportedly stealing more than $1,200 in merchandise from the Jefferson Valley Mall on two separate occasions. On Monday, Feb. 13, police officers patrolling in the Jefferson Valley Mall parking lot were flagged by a loss prevention agent from Macy's who was requesting assistance with an alleged shoplifter.

A Putnam Valley man was arrested in Yorktown on Monday after being busted with cocaine near the Jefferson Valley Mall. Yorktown police said on Tuesday that they had arrested and charged 30-year-old Kevin Singleton with a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance after police spotted "drug activity" inside a vehicle he was in.

Macy’s Employee Stole From Store’s Cash Registers, Yorktown Police Say

A Lake Peekskill woman accused of stealing from the Macy's store at the Jefferson Valley Mall is facing a petty larceny charge, according to police. Camelia J. Ferraro was arrested on Dec. 23 after store security accused her of stealing $120 from two store registers about a week earlier, according to Yorktown police, who said the 20-year-old store employee turned herself in after Macy's security reported the alleged theft to authorities.

Three Charged In One Day With Stealing From Jefferson Valley Mall

For the second time this month , a trio of sticky-fingered shoplifters were arrested attempting to steal from the Jefferson Valley Mall in Yorktown Heights. A trio of Mahopac teens found themselves on the wrong side of the law on Tuesday after they were caught attempting to shoplift hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise from the Jefferson Valley Mall in Yorktown Heights. Mahopac Teen Charged With Stealing From Jefferson Valley Mall

The arrest came about when officers responded to a report of a shoplifter in custody at Sears in the Jefferson Valley Mall, 600 Lee Blvd., on Saturday, police said. The suspect, a male whose name is being withheld due to possible youthful offender status, allegedly removed tags and packaging from items totaling $93.99, concealed the items on his person and exited the store with them, police said.
