New Rochelle Man Indicted for Murder of Homeless Woman Outside Naval Armory

Jose Olmos, 29, a homeless man living in New Rochelle, was indicted and arraigned for murder in the death of a homeless woman outside a vacant armory building on Main Street. A Westchester County Grand Jury indicted Olmos on three charges: Murder in the First Degree, a class A violent felony, and two counts of Murder in the Second Degree, also class A felonies, in the beating death of Nurten Seljuk July 27, 2018.

Westchester Man Convicted in Violent Crime Spree in Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, Yonkers and Bronx

Eric Lee, 26, of Mount Vernon pleaded guilty to Murder in the First Degree in the death of Trevon Boswell and seven other charges in connection with a twelve-hour violent crime spree that began May 21, 2017. The series of violent robberies spanned several jurisdictions including Mount Vernon, New Rochelle and Yonkers in Westchester County as well as parts of the Bronx.

Suspect Pleads Guilty To Murder During 12-Hour Westchester Crime Spree

A Westchester County man has pleaded guilty to the murder of a Mount Vernon man during a 12-hour crime spree last year. Eric Lee has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in relation to the death of Trevon Boswell last year during a spree of violent robberies in Mount Vernon, New Rochelle and Yonkers.

City Of New Rochelle Selected For $10M Development Grant

On September 27th, Howard Zemsky, President and CEO of Empire State Development and Commissioner of the New York State Department of Economic Development, joined New Rochelle City Officials at the local Boys and Girls Club to award a $10M Downtown Redevelopment Initiative grant to aid with the revitalization of the City's Lincoln Avenue corridor zone and surrounding neighborhoods. The goal of the grant is to forge stronger social, economic, and physical linkages between this vital area and the downtown as a whole.
