Ossining Students Gear Up For Robotics Competition

Ossining High School students have spent weeks tinkering with and tweaking the creations they hope will win them the chance to compete in a worldwide robotics competition. The team, which calls itself The Ossining O-bots, called on its members to use all their scientific, engineering, technology and math skills to make the robots it will enter in the Hudson Valley Regional FIRSTA competition next month.

Two Ossining Rental Projects Get IDA Support

Westchester's Industrial Development Agency has issued preliminary approved incentives for two rental apartment projects in Ossining with a total private investment of $118.25 million, County Executive Robert P. Astorino recently announced. "The two projects approved today by the IDA will provide nearly 300 units of market rate and senior rental housing and affordable units, and will create hundreds of construction jobs for our economy," said Astorino in a release statement.

Snow Emergency Declared In Ossining

Hundreds, if not thousands, of folks will be lacing up their running shoes this spring all over Westchester to help fight a deadly disease.
