Marriott Hotel Developers Pledge Public Safety During Tuckahoe Site Cleanup

An attorney and spokesman for Bilwin Development Affiliates, developers of a proposed Marriott Hotel in Tuckahoe said they are gratified with the project’s recent approval by the village Planning Board. Bilwin officials pledged to allay residents’ fears about the site’s prior use as a landfill by providing transparent results of continued environmental testing during the land’s clean-up.

Tuckahoe Planning Board Approves Proposed Marriott Hotel Plan

After more than a year of discussion and debate, the Tuckahoe Planning Board has approved the much-maligned hotel and restaurant proposal that will be erected on a contaminated former landfill on Marbledale Road. According to the Board, Bilwin Development has agreed to take care of cleaning up the contaminated site, where they have proposed erecting a Marriott hotel, complete with a restaurant on the 3.5-acre plot.

Immaculate Conception Students To Walk For A Cause In Eastchester

For the 10th straight year, students at the Immaculate Conception School in Tuckahoe are set to take to the streets to raise money to support their school and parish. Next week, at the annual Immaculate Conception Walk-a-Thon, students will walk from their campus on Winter Hill Road down to Depot Square as part of one of the school’s biggest fundraisers of the year.

A Tuckahoe man accused of shooting two men outside a Chappaqua deli is to appear in Westchester County Court on Tuesday to formally face charges of attempted murder, assault and criminal use of a firearm, according to multiple reports. Chao has been held in the Westchester County jail since his Aug. 29 arrest on suspicion of shooting the men – one of whom was his former boss – outside Lange’s Little Store & Delicatessen.
