Former Albert Leonard MS Teacher Busted for Aggravated DWI, Child in Car

Scarsdale10583 is reporting that Kristen Walsh, 36, of White Plains, NY was arrested by Scarsdale Police on September 25, 2016 and charged with "driving while on cell phone, aggravated DWI with a child in the car, DWI per se, with a prior conviction less than 10 years and DWI with a prior conviction less that ten 10 years." Walsh was released to her attorney on $500 cash bail.

French-American School Lawsuit Appealed

The City of White Plains has appealed a lawsuit filed by the French-American School of New York that challenges the city's denial of a proposed school at the former Ridgeway Country Club. In an appeal to the Supreme Court's Appellate Division, Second Department, the White Plains Corporation Counsel questioned whether state Supreme Court Judge Joan B. Lefkowitz can order the city to close part of Hathaway Lane and approve a site plan for a pre-K through 12 school on property purchased by FASNY.
