Police in Yonkers are seeking suspects who may have fired several gunshots at a group of people in the city, striking several parked cars in the area. Patrol officers from the Yonkers Police Department reported that they heard gunshots shortly after 11 p.m. on Tuesday night near the intersection of Herriot Street and Jackson Street.
A 21-year-old man was hospitalized in stable condition after being shot in the face in Yonkers during a late night incident. Members of the Yonkers Police Department were dispatched to a Riverdale Avenue apartment building at approximately 2:45 a.m. on Wednesday morning, following reports of a gun being fired in the area.

There will be lane and ramp closures on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Yonkers this week as contracting crews complete construction work in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation has issued an alert to Westchester motorists notifying them that the Exit 6 ramp on the parkway would be closed southbound in Yonkers from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday and from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 30.
