| WHY: | DORENEX Leadership Academy members and students from Yonkers high schools will celebrate Dominican Independence and culture through oratorical, musical and performing arts productions to delight and educate the audience. The program will include a brief presentation of the history of the island towards the Independence (Spanish/English); a blend of the complete national anthem; folk dancing (Dominican Palo, Typical Merengue); songs and a theatrical Illustration of the Independence Movement’s most significant milestones. Hispanic food and light refreshments will be served. |
