Mayor Mike Spano basically has the support from both parties and most political insiders are predicting a landslide against Mario De Giorgio.

Universally, Yonkers politicians are predicting that the mayor has this third term race in the bag, as many city employees will start volunteering to collect signatures on his behalf tomorrow.

Sadly, the Republican party under the leadership of Chairman Justin Tubiolo has not been able to field a city wide candidate since Liam McLaughlin last won the City Council President’s seat

Worse yet the Republican have lost control of the city council and if another Republican seat is lost on Chairman Justin Tubiolo’s watch, the mayor and the democrats will have a super majority.
