YONKERS POLICE SOURCES: Man Suspected In The Murder Of Yonkers Woman and The Disappearance Of Another Woman In Puerto Rico Is Arrested In Washington State On Credit Card Theft Charges

Diane Casado was Slain In Yonkers and her credit cards were stolen

Luis Alturet Rivera was suspected by the Yonkers Police Department in the dealy shooting of Diane Casado in 2017 was arrested last month In Washington State and accused of having her credit cards on the morning of the killing.

Yonkers residents were shocked when Diane Casado, 29, was shot in the head on January 22, 2017 at 3 am, after parking her car in a lot on Palisade Avenue.

Diana Casado’s mother found her slumped over in the front seat of the car and she was still alive, but passed away at the hospital.

Yonkers Police knew that Luis Alturet Rivera had the victim’s three credit cards at about 3 am on Jan. 22, 2017, in the area of 292 Ashburton Avenue, but when they later went to interview him, they he had left Yonkers.

Later Yonkers Police Detectives learned that Luis Alturet Rivera was the last person seen with a woman who had disappeared In Yonkers.

Last month, Yonkers Police detectives went to interview Luis Alturet Rivera in Washington and an arrest warrant was obtained.

Luis Alturet Rivera is being held without bail and is due back in city court on March 25th
