DOUBLE DUTY: Greenwich Hires Yonkers Police Sergeant as Part Time Emergency Preparedness Coordinator

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Yonkers Police Sargent David Fraszka has been appointed to the position of Part-Time Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Coordinator for Greenwich.

PRESS RELEASE: Yonkers Police Sargent David Fraszka has been hired under a limited financial federal grant to assist the Dept of Health prepare for and respond to public health emergencies, whether man-made or natural.

GREENWICH: Yonkers Police Sargent David Fraszka will serve as the contact person for State and local public health emergency planning coordination activities.

Yonkers Police Sargent David Fraszka will work with various community agencies and organizations to prepare for emergencies. He will also participate in public health planning activities, which involve all emergency response area disciplines such as hospitals, EMS, Emergency Management, Mass Care, Long Term Care and Community Healthcare Organizations.

Officer Fraszka worked in the Health Services field before joining the Yonkers Police Department in 2011, where he is currently employed and holds a rank of Sergeant.

In his role as a Yonkers Patrol Supervisor, he provides guidance to field police officers and conducts planning and response efforts to emergency situations.
