PRESS RELEASE: Yonkers Police arrest wife in domestic violence shooting incident

  Yonkers Police Department Alert On Wednesday, March 20th, 2019, at approximately 5:03 AM, Yonkers Police Communications Division received a 911 mobile telephone call from the female occupant of an apartment located within 14 Bronxville Glen Drive; she advised dispatchers that she had just shot her husband.

YONKERS, NY: Police units from the 2nd Precinct and Emergency Service Unit responded immediately and located the husband down on the living room floor with an apparent single gunshot wound to his abdomen; officers rendered medical aid and the victim was transported to a local area trauma center where he is currently listed in serious but stable condition.

The female suspect remained at scene and was placed into custody without incident. A criminal investigation was initiated.

Detectives from the Major Case Squad and Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene and are actively working at this time to enhance the investigation, including speaking with neighbors, processing forensic and ballistic evidence, and executing search warrants.

Four handguns were recovered from the apartment and are pending further analysis. Investigation has yielded that the wife allegedly shot her husband; her motivations are being examined at this time.

There were no other persons present inside the apartment at the time of the incident, and no other injuries were reported. The female suspect is identified as Sloane FLECKMAN-FINN, a 44-year-old resident of this City; the male victim is identified as Eric FINN, a 46-year-old resident also of this city.

Sloane FLECKMAN-FINN was placed under arrest and charged with Assault 1’, a Class B Violent Felony in the New York State Penal Law; she is expected to be arraigned later today.

The case is being prosecuted by the Westchester County District Attorny’sOffice.
