Yonkers mayor contemplating a run for Latimer NYS Senate seat

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano is contemplating seeking the Democratic nomination if Gov. Cuomo calls a special election to fill the Senate seat being vacated by fellow Dem George Latimer, who won his race for Westchester county executive last week, sources close to him say. "He loves being mayor of the city and would not be excited about not completing his term, but then again he is term limited and there's going to be a Democratic county executive ," one source said.
