A New York State attorney has filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of people who were potentially exposed to hepatitis A at the restaurant bartaco in Port Chester, N.Y. Paul V. Nunes, a senior partner of Underberg and Kessler in Rochester, N.Y., filed the complaint on behalf of Yonkers, N.Y. resident Crystal Lopez, a bartaco patron who dined at the restaurant on Oct. 12. Lopez was advised by health officials to get a blood test and hepatitis A vaccine or Immune Globulin for treatment, like others who ate or drank at the popular spot between Oct. 12 and 23. "Everyone has a right to expect that the food they are served at a public restaurant is free on contaminants and is safe to eat," Nunes said this week.
