Yonkers Sex Offender Accused Of Raping Girl, 14, Reports Move

A registered sex offender accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in Mount Vernon that resides in Yonkers is moving out of Westchester County. The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Thursday to Westchester County residents regarding the residency of 32-year-old Kareem Smith, who lived in a Livingston Avenue apartment in Yonkers, but has reported a move into Manhattan.

Westchester Mother Charged After 5-Year-Old Shoots Self In Face

A Mount Vernon woman has been remanded to the Westchester County Jail for her role in the death of her 5-year-old daughter, who shot herself in the face with an illegal gun in Yonkers. On Thursday, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino Jr. announced that 24-year-old Tantania Manners has been charged with a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child following a lengthy investigation into the death of the child in Yonkers in 2015.

Mount Vernon Man Arraigned On Manslaughter Charges For Fatal Stabbing

The Mount Vernon man accused of the fatal stabbing a 24-year-old Yonkers resident last year has been arraigned on manslaughter and weapons charges. According to Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Donte Pace, 22, has been arraigned in Westchester County Court on Wednesday, where he was formally charged with manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon following the assault of his victim last October.
