Westchester Man Accused Of Fatal Stabbing Due Back In Court This Week

The Mount Vernon man accused of the fatal stabbing a 24-year-old Yonkers man last year is due back in court this week. Donte Pace, 22, is scheduled to appear in Westchester County Court later this week, where he will be arraigned on charges that include manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon following the assault of his victim last October.

Final Suspect Sentenced In Yonkers Pro Baseball Prospect Shooting

The driver involved in the shooting death of 23-year-old Yonkers resident and Oakland Athletics baseball prospect Michael Nolan was sentenced in Westchester County Court on Wednesday. On Wednesday, Mount Vernon resident Garth O'Neil was sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to a felony charge of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon in relation to the shooting that left Nolan with a bullet in his head outside of a Burger King on Central Park Avenue.

Westchester Assemblyman Accuses Cuomo Of ‘Bribery’

In a scathing statement, Democratic Assemblyman Gary Pretlow said Gov. Andrew Cuomo is using "bribery" tactics in order to pass his agenda in exchange for lawmaker pay raises, according to the New York Post. Pretlow, who represents the districts of Mount Vernon and Yonkers, told the Post that the governor has said he will approve pay raises if lawmakers agree with his ethics reform or approve Uber in upstate New York, among other items, reported the Post.
