Former Teller Accused In Westchester Armed Bank Robbery

A Westchester bank teller was charged Wednesday with participating in a 2013 armed robbery of a Wells Fargo bank in Yonkers, according to Joon H. Kim, the Acting U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. Virginia Blanco, 28, of Yonkers, provided "critical" information about the bank on Odell Avenue to Giovanni Marte before he and three others robbed the bank on Oct. 29, 2013, Kim said.

Sex Offender Convicted Of Raping Teen Reports Move Within Yonkers

A registered "sexually violent" offender convicted of raping a 15-year-old girl has reported a move in Westchester County. The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Thursday to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 31-year-old Eric Jones, who has moved to an apartment on the Glenwood Avenue in Yonkers.

Westchester Man Sentenced To 15 Years For Fatal Midday Stabbing

A Westchester man has been sentenced to 15 years in state prison after pleading guilty to a violent felony following a fatal midday stabbing last year. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced that 37-year-old Joseph Graham of Yonkers was sentenced after pleading guilty to individual counts of first-degree manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon after he fatally stabbed his 49-year-old victim last year.
