Yonkers Man Sentenced To Life For Violent Stabbing Murder

A Westchester man will spend the rest of his life behind bars after being given the maximum sentence after pleading guilty to the violent murder of a Rockland County man near his Nanuet home last summer. Earlier this year, Yonkers resident Frank Keogh, who worked as a contractor in Hopewell Junction, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in Rockland County Court after his stabbing victim, Pearl River native Eric Leopold, died from more than a dozen stab wounds outside his home.

A Westchester man is facing life in prison after pleading guilty to the violent murder of a Rockland County man near his residence in Nanuet last summer. Officials confirmed Frank Keogh of Yonkers pleaded guilty to second-degree murder earlier this month in Rockland County Court after stabbing his victim more than a dozen times outside his home in July 2016.

State Seeks Public Comment On Yonkers Railroad Bridge Replacement Project

The New York Metropolitan Transportation Council has opened a public comment period through 4 p.m. on Friday for street and sidewalk improvements as well as Metro-North railroad bridge projects throughout Westchester and Rockland counties. The state proposes amendments to the Federal Fiscal Years 2017-2021 Transportation Improvement Program .
