$156,900 NYSS Hugh Grant Trot at Yonkers

YONKERS, NY , Tuesday, July 3, 2018-New York Sire Stakes continued downstate Tuesday night , with Yonkers Raceway hosting the $156,900 Hugh Grant Trot for harness racing 2-year-old fillies. The opening division saw a sire stakes-repeating Winndevie grind Liquorstoreblues into submission early in the lane.

Sudden Shutdown Forces Summer Program Relocations At Sprain Ridge Pool

With the Sprain Ridge Pool being closed indefinitely after it was found not to be structurally sound in Yonkers, officials in Westchester have begun rescheduling events and programs that were planned for the summer season before the sudden shutdown. Earlier this week, Westchester County Executive George Latimer announced that in an attempt to reopen the pool in Yonkers before July 4 last year, contractors rushed work at the pool, which resulted in structural issues.
