A round of thunderstorms will move through the Hudson Valley on Thursday in advance of the arrival of a rare summer rainstorm that will drench the area late Friday through Saturday, possibly leading to flooding. Isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms are expected from late Thursday afternoon into Thursday tonight.
It will be a one-two-three punch in the Lower Hudson Valley as two days of bone-chilling cold will be followed by a round of snow and ice Saturday. The severe cold could result in the risk of hypothermia or frostbite to those spending time outdoors without proper clothing.
