Westchester Assemblyman Accuses Cuomo Of ‘Bribery’

In a scathing statement, Democratic Assemblyman Gary Pretlow said Gov. Andrew Cuomo is using "bribery" tactics in order to pass his agenda in exchange for lawmaker pay raises, according to the New York Post. Pretlow, who represents the districts of Mount Vernon and Yonkers, told the Post that the governor has said he will approve pay raises if lawmakers agree with his ethics reform or approve Uber in upstate New York, among other items, reported the Post.

Yonkers Mayor Encourages Motorists To ‘Slow Down To Get Around’ DPW Trucks

Waste and recycling collection vehicles got a makeover in Yonkers this week, as Mayor Mike Spano tamed with Gov. Andrew Cuomo to encourage drivers to "slow down to get around" DPW crews on city streets. On Tuesday, Spano was joined by DPW Commissioner Tom Meier in Yonkers to announce that they would begin enforcing Cuomo's "Slow Down To Get Around" legislation, which requires motorists to slow down while passing collection vehicles.
