NY Senators Want Hearing On Barge Stationing Point In Montrose

A proposal to place 10 formal commercial anchorage sites along the Hudson River, including three in the Lower Hudson Valley at Stony Point, Montrose, and Yonkers has prompted the two New York Senators to call for a public hearing, lohud.com reported. A public hearing is being requested of the U.S. Coast Guard by Sens. Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand over the anchorage sites, which are considered necessary for safe navigation up the river.
