William Christopher, who played the unassuming U.S. Army chaplain, Father Mulcahy, struggling to bring spiritual comfort to an anarchic surgical unit during the Korean War on the long-running hit TV series “M*A*S*H,” died on Saturday. He was 84. Christopher, who was diagnosed with cancer about 18 months ago, died in his bed at his home in Pasadena, California, according to his longtime New York-based agent, Robert Malcolm.

The attorney for Bill Cosby in his criminal trial for sexual assault filed a motion Friday to have the case moved out of Montgomery County because, in part, “prospective jurors in Montgomery County have been uniquely subjected to extensive, sustained, and pervasive negative coverage of the case.” The motion did not recommend a new venue for the case, but attorney Brian McMonagle asked Common Pleas Judge Steven O’Neill to either grant the request for hold a hearing to discuss a change of venue further.

Downtown Austin hotel sues Sixth Street bar over loud music

KVUE – A hotel on Sixth Street is suing a music venue, alleging that its hotel guests are bothered by music the company says is too loud, according to the court document obtained by KVUE. Wesaus LLC, the company that oversees the Westin Austin at 310 E. Fifth St., filed the lawsuit against The Nook Amphitheater on December 22 for damages in excess of $1 million.
