‘Godfather of Grass’ busted in Canada after eight years on run
John Robert “Johnny” Boone, who had been on the run for eight years after authorities found 2,400 marijuana plants on his Kentucky farm, was caught Thursday in a small town outside of Montreal, the U.S. Marshals Service said. A federal arrest warrant was issued for Boone in Kentucky in October of 2008.
