Cal Robertson hadn’t been to many Broadway shows at the time, and was hoping he wasn’t missing much. “Radio is the thing here and the armed forces station has a fairly wide variety of music,” Robertson, now 71, wrote in a letter to his grandparents while serving in Vietnam.
