Irrevery Presents the Living Mixtape: a Bizarre Bazaar Book Release in Concert

The country-punk-noise performance collective Irrevery presents "The Living Mixtape: A Bizarre Bazaar," Sunday, March 26th, 7 PM, at The Silent Barn, Brooklyn. "The Living Mixtape" is a collaborative performance in multiple media: a book release, a flash-poetry workshop and readings, an art bazaar, plus a concert featuring improvised dance and music by Marilu Donovan, Relatives, NoPop, and Irrevery These media converge to promote the release of the book, Irrevery Volume I, the collective effort of twelve artists, each of whom illustrated the lyrics of songs from the upcoming debut album of the same title by Irrevery.

Bar to show adorable animal feed in lieu of inauguration

Need an adorable alternative to watching the presidential inauguration? Hinterlands Bar in Brooklyn, New York, has pledged to show cute animals on both of their televisions all day and night on Jan. 20. "It's going to happen but we don't have to watch it," the bar said in a Facebook post about Donald Trump's inauguration. The adorable animal-fest kicks off at 1 p.m. on Friday and ends 4 a.m. on Saturday.
