A flight from Las Vegas to Hawaii was diverted to Los Angeles International Airport Wednesday morning over what police say was a passenger's reaction to the price of an in-flight blanket, CBS Los Angeles reports. Hawaiian Airlines Flight 7 was a few miles off the Southern California coast when an unidentified 66-year-old passenger requested a blanket and was told the cost would be $12, according to Los Angeles Airport Police.

Perry Mason of Hardwick, Vermont - not to be confused with the fictional television criminal defense lawyer played by Raymond Burr - pleaded guilty Thursday to breaking into a Greensboro jewelry store in 2014 and stealing $110,000 worth of items. ‘The OA’ and the hypnotic allure of weird TV

We're more likely to remember the peak TV era for its quantity than its quality, looking back on these years as a period in which there was too much to watch that was pretty good and fairly intriguing, but often got more buzz than it deserved. It's an embarrassment of riches, and, if and when some networks scale back , I'll also fondly remember peak TV as a period of weird television.
