Greenburgh Supervisor Recognizes Elmsford Little League For District Win

Elmsford Little League has captured the District 20 championship after defeating the team from Harrison by a score of 9-8, according to Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner. District 20 is composed of traveling all-star teams of 11- and 12-year-olds from Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Eastchester, Kensico, Port Chester, Rye, Rye Brook, Scarsdale, Sherman Park and White Plains in addition to Elmsford and Harrison, according to Feiner, who noted that Elmsford's District win is the first step toward Greenburgh having a team in the Little League World Series.

Darlyne Rose Harrison passed away March 10, 2016 at the age of 95. She was born on May 30, 1920, in Clinton, Ill., to Clyde and Ethyl Payne. Darlyne graduated from Clinton Community High School in 1938.
