THRUWAY AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES CONSTRUCTION BEGINS ON $135 MILLION INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT ON I-95 IN WESTCHESTER COUNTY Project Focuses on "Last Mile" of New England Thruway to Connecticut Border Road and Ramp Reconstruction, Noise Barrier Erection, and Other Upgrades Designed to Improve Safety and Traffic Flow View Maps of the Project Here The New York State Thruway Authority today announced construction began on a $135 million infrastructure improvement project on a section of the New England Thruway in Westchester County known as the "Last Mile." During the past several decades, 14 miles of I-95 in the Bronx, Pelham, New Rochelle, Mamaroneck, Harrison and Rye have been reconstructed.

New Roadwork Alert Issued For I-684 In Harrison

There will be more lane closures in both directions on I-684 in Westchester as crews perform maintenance in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation issued an alert cautioning that from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. starting Monday, Aug. 20, there will be closures northbound and southbound on the interstate between exit 1 and exit 2 .

A Look At The Oldest Place In Town

The public can learn more about the ongoing restoration of the Thomas Harrison House during an open house Thursday at Massanutten Regional Library's Central Library. The open house and tour will provide details on restoration efforts, including what historic artifacts have been found, as well as plans for Harrisonburg's oldest building, according to a city press release.
