Everton’s Claudia Walker picked up the SSE Women’s FA Cup Player of the Round award

The thrills and spills of the SSE Women’s FA Cup is chiefly responsible for the increased coverage and attention on the women’s game in England. That’s the view of Everton Ladies manager Andy Spence, whose Toffees side safely negotiated their way to the fourth round of the competition after outclassing Brighouse Town 8-1 in Huddersfield on February 5. It was Everton’s first competitive fixture of the new season, and the players’ professionalism and clinical touch in front of goal left their coach hungry for success in the tournament.
