Cameroon has always had a tradition of producing great goalkeepers. Italian star Gianluigi Buffon says Thomas N’Kono inspired him to become a goalkeeper after he watched N’Kono lead Cameroon to the quarterfinals at the 1990 World Cup in Italy.
