A MAN who faked qualifications to scoop two top NHS jobs and earned over A 1 million despite being a builder has been jailed for two years. Scheming Jon Andrewes, 63, called himself ‘doctor’ and fake PhDs on his CV to become chairman of two NHS trusts and a hospice.
King Street is back open after gas leak which shut road for four days
A company working to solve a gas leak on a Plymouth Road have announced that work is now completed and the road is once again open to the public. Wales and West Utilities were repairing a network underneath King Street after the leak was discovered on Friday, February 24 and the road closed at its junction with Stoke Road and Octagon Street.

Brixham to save red phone boxes earmarked for removal 1
The telephone kiosks in Rea Barn Road, Great Rea Road and North Boundary Road are all in poor condition, with the latter missing a door, but the council is planning to refurbish them and hand two of them to community groups. A report presented to the council at its February meeting stated that BT had provided information to prove that the kiosks were no longer being used by the community and BT was proposing to sell them off.

Keep away from cliffs warning as Dorset on flood alert due to strong winds and heavy rain
The Environment Agency tonight issued a flood alert – flooding is possible – for the whole of the west coast of Dorset from Lyme Regis to Portland Bill tomorrow. The warning says: “The forecast wind direction is veering from south easterly to south westerly through the day with gusts up to 60 mph, Force 8. “Expect spray overtopping the beaches and flooding to low lying areas.
Tram ride to Colyton was just the ticket
The highly experienced guide, Inspector Gareth Richards, gave a detailed description of the work done throughout the year, as well as giving a history of some of the trams.
