The government will set up nine more Special Implementation Task Force service centre branches across the country to resolve issues affecting the Indian community in this country in a faster and more efficient manner. MIC president Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam said the first branch had been opened in Ipoh, Perak and more branches would be established in other locations including in Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Selangor, Pahang, Perak, Penang and Kedah.

Beximco forms manufacturing JV with Malaysia’s BioCare
Under the accord, Beximco is helping BioCare set up a manufacturing plant at Seri Iskandar Pharmaceutical Park in Perak, Malaysia. When completed the plant will be operated by a joint venture firm in which Bangladesh-based Beximco will hold a 30% stake.
MACC Efforts To Prevent Corruption Not Seasonal – Ahmad Zahid
The move by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission to detain individuals holding very senior positions was because the individuals were allegedly involved in white-collar crime and not because of seasonal action. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi pointed out that the efforts would be continued at all times without any compromise as they were important in giving a good image to the nation.

Acting as Aedes Fighters, dedicated volunteers from Rentokil Initial Malaysia have worked together on a mission to eradicate mosquito breeding grounds, reducing the mosquito population, and to create healthier and safer environments for our communities. This nationwide initiative is part of the organisation’s annual corporate social responsibility programme; Community Oriented Health Education Programme , which aims to galvanise the communities in Malaysia into taking actions to preserve a clean and hygienic environment in and out of their residency to keep mosquitoes at bay.
Rural schools facing low enrolment
PETALING JAYA: At least seven Chinese primary schools, almost all in rural areas, did not receive new Year One pupils this year, while 13 schools only had one new pupil. While vernacular schools in urban areas are struggling with burgeoning numbers, those in rural locations in Kedah, Perak, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Pahang, Johor and Sarawak are having a hard time attracting new enrolment.
