Primark has removed a t-shirt promoting hit US TV show The Walking Dead from its stores after it was branded “fantastically offensive” and “racist” by an angry shopper. Outraged Ian Lucraft was so offended by the “explicit” t-shirt that he complained directly to the discount clothing store’s chief executive – and Primark has now apologised and removed the men’s t-shirt from its branches.

Murder investigation launched after man is shot dead in Sheffield street
Police at the scene in Daniel Hill, Sheffield after a man was found with a suspected gunshot wound to his chest. The young victim was said to have been shot in the chest while on his way to a family celebration near the Upperthorpe area of the city .
Armed police have sealed off a Sheffield street following a shooting.
People living in the Upperthorpe area said the man was either in, or close to, a black Mercedes car he had been driving when he was shot in the chest on Saturday lunchtime. Local residents said the man was a member of a family who live close to the scene of the shooting on Daniel Hill, between the Upperthorpe and Walkley areas of the city.
Man jailed over acid attack in takeaway that left teen with sight loss in one eye
Michael Johnson, of Twyford Way, Canford Heath, was jailed for an acid attack on two teenagers in a takeaway in Sheffield Michael Johnson, aged 29, and Benjamin Brightmore, 26, got involved in a row with a group of teenagers in Maranto’s takeaway in Sheffield, during which acid was thrown in the shop. Two teenagers, a boy and a girl both aged 17, were sat at a table inside the takeaway when Johnson threw ammonia in their faces while Brightmore was at his side.

The family of a 16-year-old girl whose body was found on a path in Dinnington on Monday have said they are “devastated by the loss of our beautiful daughter and sister”. The teenager, who has now been formally identified as Leonne Weeks, died from multiple stab wounds, South Yorkshire Police said.
