The application, which was presented before Wrexham’s Planning Committee at this month’s meeting proposed a ground floor extension at the rear of The Elms on Rhosddu Road. In the plans submitted by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board the extension would have allowed for the colocation of Health and Criminal Justice Substance Misuse Services at The Elms facility.

Early morning litter patrols have cost one litterbug a A 75 fine after they were caught not using a bin recently in the Marchwiel area. A meeting to discuss the action taken to tackle antisocial behaviour and drug usage in the Rhosddu area is to take place this month. Issues with drug abuse in Rhosddu and the parts of the town centre have been well documented in recent months, with issues all coming to head at a fiery public meeting between residents in November 2016.
