If Wednesday’s dismal outlook from retailer Next is any indication, the retail sector in the U.K. could be in for a rough 2017, as the country prepares to begin its process of leaving the European Union. Next, largely considered Britain’s bellwether retailer, expects this to be a challenging year and issued a profit warning after weaker-than-expected festive season sales.
