A Westchester County Police officer was injured when a man rear-ended her patrol car while attempting to evade arrest in a stolen gypsy cab. The Westchester County Police Real Time Crime Center alerted the Mount Vernon Police Department of a stolen vehicle in the city shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, County Police spokesman Kieran O'Leary said.

Stretch Of Hutchinson River Parkway To Be Closed Over Three Days

A stretch of the Hutchinson River Parkway will be closed for several days as contracting crews continue an ongoing bridge replacement project in Westchester. Motorists have been issued an alert by the New York State Department of Transportation cautioning that as part of the bridge replacement project, the parkway will be closed between exit 6 and exit 15 in Mount Vernon and Pelham.
