Women’s Volleyball Finishes Season at NCAA Georgetown Regional

The College of New Rochelle women's volleyball team traveled to Georgetown, TX for the NCAA III 2017 Women's Volleyball Championships Georgetown Regional at Southwestern University on Thursday, November 9. The Blue Angels would take on the Colorado College Tigers on Friday, November 10. The Tigers, the number one team in the regional bracket and NCAA III, were 31 - 1 on their season. CNR finished up their regular season at 20 - 10. The team would fall to Colorado College in three close sets, 17 - 25, 20 - 25 and 17 - 25. The Blue Angels came out with a lot of energy and confidence as they took on the number one team in the country.

Report: College Of New Rochelle Facing Second Wrongful Termination Lawsuit

The College of New Rochelle is facing a second lawsuit from a former employee claiming wrongful termination , according to a lohud report . A second lawsuit was reportedly filed in Westchester County Court earlier this year by Veronie Lawrence, a former director for one of the school's campuses who is claiming that the college breached contract when she was among those fired last year as part of cost-cutting moves aimed at keeping the college open.

2018 Proposed Budget Released

New Rochelle City Manager Charles Strome III today released his proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2018.The $190 million budget preserves and enhances essential services and reflects a continued investment in the City's infrastructure. The proposed tax levy increase is 2.03%, the maximum allowable under the New York State tax cap legislation.
