Three Ossining Students Semifinalists In National Science Competition

Science education is thriving at Ossining High School where three of its students have been selected as semifinalists in the 2017 National Regeneron Science Talent Search. Celine Khoo, Reid Komosa and Adriana Scanteianu, students in the Fundamentals of Science Research Program, are among 300 seniors nationwide who were chosen to advance to the next phase of the competition, which is produced by the Society for Science & the Public and sponsored by Regeneron.

Maryknoll Sister Margaret Lyons, 95, Ossining

Sister Margaret Lyons, 95, a missioner to Chile and El Salvador, died Tuesday at the Maryknoll Sisters Center, in Ossining, where she was a sister for 69 years. Born in South Boston, Mass., on March 16, 1921, to Margaret Mary Lyons and John Joseph Lyons, she received the name Marjorie Ann at baptism.
