Former WCC Basketball Coach Pleads Guilty To Forging Ten Transcripts

A former Westchester County Community College men’s basketball coach has pleaded guilty to charges that he forged players’ transcripts to facilitate their transfers to four-year universities. On Tuesday, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino announced that Tyrone Mushatt, 44, has pleaded guilty in court to one felony count of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and one count of fifth-degree conspiracy, a misdemeanor.

New Rochelle Woman, 30, Charged With Murdering 60-Year-Old Boyfriend

A New Rochelle woman is facing life in prison after being indicted on murder charges alleging she killed her boyfriend. On Tuesday, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino announced that Jonitha Alston, 30, was arraigned on an indictment charging her with individual counts of second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child in connection to the death of her 60-year-old boyfriend.

Governor Cuomo Launches Indian Point Closure Task Force to Assist Local Community With Transition

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the appointment of a new task force to ensure compliance with the agreement to close the aging Indian Point nuclear power plant in Westchester County and to provide guidance and support to affected local municipalities and employees.
