A severe storm system spawned a possible tornado that caused minor injuries and damaged more than 150 homes in the San Antonia area late Sunday night and early Monday. Officials say a California police officer was killed and another wounded in a shooting while they were trying to help a man who had been in a traffic accident in Whittier.
