Research may show new ways to repress inflammation at outset

Researchers at the University of Tubingen, working with colleagues in other parts of Germany and in the United States, have identified an enzyme as a kind of biological gauge regulating inflammation in the human body. Professor Alexander Weber of the Interfaculty Institute of Cell Biology says the enzyme – Bruton’s tyrosine kinase or BTK – is switched on when an inflammation occurs in the body, playing a key role in the inflammation’s subsequent development.

AnaptysBio Up Slightly In IPO

San Diego-based AnaptysBio , which develops antibodies for treating inflammation, has raised $75.0M in its IPO, and closed up slightly in its first day of trading on Thursday. Anaptys priced its IPO on Wednesday night at $15.00 per share, at the midpoint of its $14.00 to $16.00 estimated IPO range, and closed the day at $17.00 per share.

AnaptysBio Sets Estimated IPO Pricing Range

San Diego-based AnaptysBio , which develops antibodies for treating inflammation, has set its estimated IPO pricing range, saying on Tuesday that it expects to price its IPO at between $14.00 and $16.00 per share. The company is selling 4,000,000 shares of its common stock on the NASDAQ Global Select Market as ANAB.
