Mamaroneck Union Free School District, in a letter to parents, announced independent water tests found four water fountains and three sinks have elevated levels of lead. During the summer, Mamaroneck schools conducted "first draw" lead testing of 339 water sources -- including sinks and drinking fountains -- and found 46 water sources with elevated lead levels.
