Diabetes prevention help offered

Alamance Regional Medical Center has partnered with the county health department to teach a class directed toward diabetes prevention in nine area counties. In North Carolina, it’s about 1,075,855, roughly 13.1 percent of the adult population.

ARMC rated among top 100 U.S. hospitals

Alamance Regional Medical Center has been rated among the nation’s best 100 hospitals by Healthgrades, a Denver company that compiles information on physicians, hospitals and health care providers. The distinction places ARMC in the top 2 percent of more than 4,500 hospitals nationwide for consistent, year-over-year superior clinical performance, according to Cone Health, which owns ARMC as well as MedCenter Mebane.
