Refugee girl from Ethiopia set to arrive at SJC today

A 17-year-old Ethiopian refugee denied U.S. entry earlier this week by President Donald Trump’s travel restrictions will land in San Jose Friday afternoon now that an appellate court has put the presidential order on hold. The girl, originally set to arrive to the Bay Area on Feb. 7, is expected to arrive at Mineta San Jose International Airport at about 12:30 p.m. She will go home to a foster mother in Berkeley as part of a refugee foster program with Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County.
