During a surprise inspection at Gadsden Correctional Facility in North Florida this month, Rep. David Richardson found that water seeping from showers was resulting in standing water in the sink area. It was one of nearly 500 outstanding work orders for repairs that have been languishing for months at the women’s prison, he said.
