The Qualcomm Stadium site was considered for new stadium plans, but they never came to fruition. Many of the reasons a new Chargers stadium never got built in San Diego may have less to do with villains and scapegoats and more to do with well-intentioned civic missteps and things that the team and community leaders couldn’t control.
